It took Mick Hardy nearly a month to get pictures of these Baltimore Oriole babies. They are getting big, but the parents kept them in the tree tops where they couldn't be seen until recently. Here they are taking a bath.
Dried off and groomed, this youngster is betrayed by the down still showing around its legs.
The mother of them all enjoys a sip of nectar at the hummingbird feeder.
A Cedar Waxwing brightens the day by singing from the treetops.
Our thanks to Mick Hardy for these pictures taken at his home in northern Madison County.
