This family group of geese appeared in late fall. It seems to consist of a gander (above, left), three hens, and a goose of mixed ancestry with some Canada Goose markings (second from left, above).
These five geese stick together but will mingle with flocks of Canada Geese who are feeding in the same area.
We think they may be some kind of domestic goose that have gone wild. They will approach people looking for handouts of food, but so will some of the Canada Geese.
