Mick and Connie Hardy live in rural northern Madison County. Surrounded by open fields and some trees, they find different birds than we see along Killbuck Creek. Here, an adult male Baltimore Oriole has discovered the Hardy's fruit feeder. He probably has a mate on a nest nearby.
This appears to be a second year male. He has a more ragged appearance than the sleek male at the top of this page. His full plumage will grow out this summer.
Our thanks to Mick and Connie for these pictures.
