These Tricolored Herons are looking for fish in the Woodruff National Wildlife Preserve.
The Tricolored Heron uses its long bill and neck to good advantage to catch fish. This one leans progressively further ahead to keep up with a fish until it nearly lost its balance (below).
Tricolored Herons are very active and sometimes will chase after fish.
