These are pictures of the exhibition floor Sunday, January 13, 2013 at the Annual Show of the Midwest Antique Fruit Jar and Bottle Club at the Horizon Convention Center in Muncie, Indiana. More pictures and a report were published in the January issue of Glass Chatter by the Midwest Antique Fruit Jar and Bottle Club.

Visitors stream into the show as the doors open at 9:00 AM.

Room Hopping

One of the delightful activities is “Room Hopping” at the motel before the show. People go from room to room to see what others have brought.

Fruit Jar Get-Together

The following pictures were taken Saturday, Jan. 12, 2013, at the Fruit Jar Get Together and Auction at the Baymont Inn in Muncie.

A very old steam canner “Conservo” manufactured by The Swartbaugh Mfg. Co. Toledo, Ohio. It has an opening on top to fill with water and a water pan on the bottom. It was apparently designed to sit on a wood or gas stove and was made 1910 – 1930. It can hold 14 quart jars at one time.

Awards were presented to the exhibitors whose displays were voted the best in several categories.

Mike Jordan won the “Dealer’s Choice” Award for his display of “Ball Wire Bail Jars.”

Jean Harbron won the “Most Educational” Award with her display showing “Modern Jam Making.”
