Greetings
Dear Members,
I am both humbled and excited to have the opportunity to serve as Club President. It’s truly an honor to work with such a dedicated group of collectors, and I look forward to growing our wonderful hobby together.
As we move forward, I’m enthusiastic about the future of our club and the endless possibilities ahead. The tools and technologies available today—like Facebook, Zoom, and the internet—give us a unique chance to expand our reach, connect with new members, and share our passion for antique fruit jars and bottles with a broader audience. These platforms will help us grow, exchange ideas, and keep the excitement for our hobby alive within our club and beyond.
I also want to take a moment to express my heartfelt gratitude to those who have served and continue to serve the club. First and foremost, a huge thank you to Jerry, our outgoing president. Jerry has been a pillar of our club over the past few years, providing steadfast leadership and dedication. His hard work and vision have left a lasting impact, and we are all incredibly grateful for his contributions.
I’d also like to thank Mike for his tireless work as both our past and current vice president—his ongoing support and commitment are invaluable. Monty, our Show Chairman, and Dave, our Co-Show Chairman, have done an outstanding job in organizing our events and ensuring everything runs smoothly. Joe, our Secretary, has been essential in keeping the membership informed through our website and newsletter, while Jim, our Treasurer, has provided us with steady financial oversight. Lastly, I want to recognize the member, whose contributions have shaped us into the vibrant community we are today.
This year is filled with exciting opportunities, and I’m eager to see what we can accomplish together. With all of your support and involvement, we will continue to bring people together, share our passion, and create lasting memories for everyone involved.
Thank you. I’m thrilled to work alongside each of you, and together, I’m confident we’ll continue the success of the Midwest Antique Fruit Jar and Bottle Club!
Matt
