Greetings
Dear Members,
As summer officially arrives later this month, I hope you’re all looking forward to enjoying some well-deserved time with friends and family. It’s the perfect season for relaxation, connection, and perhaps even some treasure hunting!
Speaking of treasures, I want to encourage everyone to mark their calendars and come out to support the Cambridge City Jar Show. These summer shows are fantastic opportunities to deepen our appreciation for antique jars and bottles, and more importantly, to connect with fellow collectors who share our passion. Your participation truly makes a difference in making these events a success.
At our last club meeting, we had a discussion about potentially starting a monthly “Show and Tell” session via Zoom or another digital platform. The idea behind this is to create a more accessible way for members who might not be able to attend our in-person meetings to still gather with friends, share their latest finds, and talk all things jars. We’re really excited about the possibility of expanding our community in this way, but we need your input! If you’d be interested in participating in or even just tuning into a virtual Show and Tell, please let us know. Your feedback will help us gauge interest and determine the best way to move forward.
We’re also looking for your thoughts on our club website. We want it to be a truly valuable resource for all collectors, and we’re eager to hear your ideas on how we can continue to build it out. What kind of content would you like to see? Are there features that would be particularly helpful? Please share your suggestions – your input is crucial in making our website the best it can be.
Finally, for those looking ahead, table contracts and hotel reservations are now open for our 2026 show in January. It’s never too early to start planning for what promises to be another fantastic event!
Wishing you all a wonderful summer filled with great company and even greater finds!
Warmly,
Matt Andrick
