Greetings
Fall is a great time to take in jar shows. There are also many local fall festivals that are always interesting and offer the possibility of finding some lost treasures in the endless flea markets.
We’ve recently been able to attend three shows in our general area. The first was in Lebanon, IN, at the Indianapolis Circle City Antique Bottle, Advertising and Antiques Show. We always enjoy this show and seeing our friends there.
The next event was in Cambridge City, IN. While not an “official” jar show, there was a nice outdoors area for vendors to set up, in conjunction with a town-wide Fall Festival. The town was very busy and the weather beautiful.
The last was in Findlay, OH, at a new venue for the Findlay Bottle Club’s annual Antique Bottle & Collectibles Show & Sale. It was held this year at the Owens Community College in a beautiful building, well suited for a glass show.
There are still many shows remaining to attend this fall. Here in Muncie, we are focusing on our own show, coming up in January. We anticipate another great gathering and are looking forward to luring in collectors from across the country.
Wishing good health and happiness to everyone.
Jerry Dixon
